Timothy (Tim) Hlabse, son of the late Fred and Ann (Laska) passed away on Tuesday, July 15th at about 1 a.m. after a short illness in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Tim is survived by his wife, Evelyn with whom he recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

He is also survived by his daughter, Elizabeth (Beth) Hlabse of North Olmsted, Ohio. and his son Andrew Stewart Hlabse and Tina Marie (Lloyd) and their two children Cassidy Marie Hlabse and Lilah Sinclair Hlabse of Raleigh. His other survivors include his sister, Bonita Green and her children and grandchildren.

Tim received his bachelor's degree from Case Institute of Technology in 1964 and his master’s degree from the University of Chicago. He studied chemistry at both schools. He was employed for many years by the Glidden Company and later by Kalcor.

Tim was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians (now the Guardians). He was also a very active member of St. Felicitas Catholic Church (St. John of the Cross) in Euclid, Ohio before retiring to Raleigh, North Carolina.

Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Angels Chapel at St. Francis of Assisi, 11401 Leesville Road, Raleigh, NC on Friday, July 25 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to his favorite charity - The Cleveland Guardians Charities would be appreciated.
