Robert James Reynolds, Sr.
Robert James Reynolds, Sr., 61, of Raleigh, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Rob was born on May 16, 1964, in Orange, New Jersey, to the late George Christopher Reynolds and Dolores Dorothy Kuechler. He dedicated more than 30 years to the IT field—a profession he not only excelled in, but truly loved. His curiosity and passion for learning extended far beyond his work: he was an avid history buff, especially the Civil War, and loved being at the dog park with Zeus.
Above all, Rob was a devoted and caring father. His kindness, steady presence, and unwavering support were constants in the lives of his children, who were the center of his world. Rob will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his dedication to his craft, and the deep love he carried for his family.
In addition to his parents, Rob was preceded in death by his older brother, Matthew John. He is survived by his children, Robert James Reynolds, Jr., Hailey Dolores Reynolds, and his wife, Jerneé Maria Reynolds (Lieberum). Rob is also survived by his siblings: George Christopher Reynolds, Jr. (Barbara), Tom Reynolds (Robin), Steve Reynolds (Linda), Audrey Dail (Lynn), Kathleen Talvacchia (Nick), and Andrew Reynolds (Christina), as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 p.m., at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Saint Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 5801 Falls of Neuse Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27601.

Sending my heartfelt condolences. Hailey, Robbie ans Jernee I pray God will wrap you in His arms and provide Comfort. Working with him at Phoenix Physicians was one of the best times of my life. His sense of humor, kindness and love of his family as well as his dedication to his work all made him fun to be around. I will forever treasure his friendship.

My deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Rob. He was the absolute best at IT work. I was in almost consistent contact with him at one point for my work computer. Even at 4am, his attention to details during remote repair was unwavering. I did not know him personally, but I hope the family can find solace in how much we at Care Services appreciated him and his dedication to keeping us rolling along smoothly. Rest Easy Rob! Vickii

I'm so sorry for your loss of Rob. It was great catching up with him in March. He was always so kind to me even as a kid. I'll never forget eating bbq and going swimming as a kid with him. Rest in peace Robert. My deepest condolences to his entire family.
