Nancy Marie Derwin, 71, of Leland, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025 surrounded by her closest friends and family.
Nancy was born on April 7, 1954, in Long Island, NY, to the late Kenneth and Muriel Durkin. Nancy was an avid reader and Jets fan. She loved the beach, traveling, and spending as much time with her family as possible.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Martin Derwin; her three daughters, Jennifer, Laura, and Kelly; her son in law John, her two grandkids Jack and Abigail, and her brother Ken and her sister in law Hara.

Nancy and I were work colleagues that became great friends- My heart goes out to her girls whom she loved dearly, Jenn Kelly & Laura- her grandchildren and her husband Marty- Nancy was a kind soul who always put everyone else first- I will always cherish our time and years together. I recently read a quote that said " a person does not die when she passes.. she dies when she is no longer remembered and missed" that's never going to happen with Nancy as all that met her will always remember her. Words cannot express how deeply you will be missed. While we may have added miles between us, our friendship was always cherished. I will miss that bright smile and positive mannerism and being able to laugh and share stories of our lives progression, grandchild photos and memories of holiday parties.
