Matthew Dale Gorski, 52, of Raleigh, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026.

Matthew was born on November 11, 1973, in Kankakee, Illinois, to Dale Mulder and Melinda Sparenberg. He grew up in Kankakee and later moved to North Carolina. He worked in new home construction, was very talented in carpentry and did extensive renovations in his home in Raleigh, NC.

Matthew married April White on August 20, 2005 and they received the blessing of their son Jackson on January 16, 2017.

Matthew was preceded in death by his mother Melinda of Kankakee, IL.

Matthew is survived by his wife, April and son Jackson of Raleigh, NC; sister Lori Brownbill; and his 3 nephews in Australia. He is also survived by his father Dale, grandmother Ruth Sparenberg in St Anne, IL; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31st at 11am at the Real Life Church at 2095 W Station St in Kankakee, IL.
