Martha "Jeannie" Jean Clouse
The LIVESTREAM will begin at 10:55am via this LINK.
Our hearts are both heavy and full as we celebrate the life of a truly one-of-a-kind woman, Martha Jean Clouse “Jeannie”, 77, was called home to be with Jesus the morning of Thursday, May 21, 2026. She left this world peacefully surrounded by loved ones in her home. She was strong in spirit until her earthly life came to an end and she stepped into her eternal home where we can only imagine the joyful reunion in heaven with her husband and family and the crazy jokes she must be telling.
Jeannie’s life began in an unforgettable way. As her sister Jane was born, Jeannie followed close behind unexpected and full of life, as if she could not wait to make her entrance. From the very beginning, she was destined to shine.
She loved her siblings deeply, holding tight to the bonds of family throughout her life. She loved her two daughters and adored her grandchildren. Her home, her heart, and her life were always open to her family, pets, friends, neighbors, and even strangers. Once you met her, you never forgot her.
Jeannie was funny, loving, and wonderfully unpredictable. You never quite knew what she was going to say or do, and that was part of her magic. When she went back to MO to visit her family, she never just arrived quietly. Whether it involved laser guns, butterflies, fireworks, jumping out of boxes, or something entirely unexpected, she made an entrance that no one would ever forget.
She was authentic in every sense of the word. Full of jokes, lots of farting and laughter, she brought light into every room she walked into. If you knew her well, you knew her humor was real, unfiltered, and unforgettable.
Jeannie started her career as a Radiology tech but found her true calling in cosmetology. Jeannie spent the remaining part of her career at multiple retirement communities making the elderly feel loved and beautiful. Caring for people was her superpower and she absolutely embraced it. She lovingly cared for her husband through sickness and until his death. She later allowed herself to be cared for as well, humbly accepting help during her own health journey, especially over the past several years when her daughter Carrie faithfully walked beside her.
She had a gift for making the ordinary extraordinary. She faced her health challenges with incredible strength and resilience, outliving her doctor’s expectations.
Jeannie was also deeply creative. She was a collector of things she loved, treasures that told stories and held meaning. Many may not know that she quietly wrote beautiful poetry, heartfelt prayers, and stories that reflected the depth of her soul.
People looked forward to seeing her, knowing something memorable would follow. She lived fully, loved deeply, and gave freely.
We will miss her laughter, her creativity, her honesty and her unforgettable spirit. There will never be another quite like her.
Though we grieve, we hold onto the promise that she is now at peace, fully restored, and wrapped in the love of her Savior.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Oh, little Jeannie, you gave so much love, and that love will carry on in all of us. You have such a story to tell!
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, June 18 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Renaissance Funeral Home, Raleigh, NC.
Jeannie is survived by her daughters, Kim Clouse and Carrie Clouse; her grandchildren, Lawson, Conrad, Georgia Grace, Caleb and Cash; and her many siblings.
