It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that our beloved Kamaljit Kaur Garcha passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 14, 2026 at the age of 67.
Kamal was the daughter of the late Balwant and Tarlochan Grewal. She was born in Kila Raipur, India on November 9, 1958 and spent her childhood surrounded by her large family. She then migrated to Canada where she married her husband Manmohan Garcha and had two kids. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother known for her generosity, kindness and enthusiasm. She lived her life to the fullest and encouraged others to do the same. She loved spending time with her family, dancing, singing, traveling and making the most of every moment.
Kamaljit is survived by her husband, Manmohan Garcha; daughter Tarndeep Garcha; son Sandeep Garcha, daughter-in-law Sarvjeet Garcha and grandchildren Aanya and Kaveer Garcha.
The Antam Sanskar (funeral service) will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 9:30am, at Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615. The service will be Livestreamed via the Renaissance Funeral Home YouTube page. The family will receive friends following the service until the cremation ceremony at 11:30am. Afterwards, family and friends are invited to gather for paath and langar at 1pm at Atlantic Coast Sikh Association, 3108 Sparger Rd, Durham, NC 27705.
