Jerzy Cyprian Stojda

Jerzy Stojda, 83 of Raleigh, passed away on January 12, 2024.

Jerzy was born to the late Jan (John) and Stefania Stojda on November 3, 1940 in Krakow, Poland. He moved to the United States in 1987. His dream job as a young man was to become a pilot but his mother thought this was far too dangerous a profession. He worked as a land surveyor and while he preferred to stay busy, Jerzy always made himself available to his family. Jerzy’s faith was important to him. He always had a smile on his face, and he loved and supported his children and grandchildren.

Jerzy is preceded in death by his first wife, Maria. He is survived by their children Dorota, Agnieszka, and Piotr; his wife, Barbara; and his grandchildren Rafal, Konrad, Alan, and Lucas.

It's so sad that I didn't know that Jurek died... I was his neighbor for a number of years and we were always so close and he was truly, always smiling. I just found out today when I saw his lovely wife Barbera in the store. I had moved away for a couple of years. It's so sad that we don't stay in touch nowadays the way people used to...Jurek was a good man.

The memorial bench is located in Colts Neck, New Jersey park. It stands not only as a tribute to your life, but as a reminder of the love that continues to grow, even in your absence. Prayers for you and may you rest in eternal peace. May beautiful memories that we shared not be forgotten. Now I believe that you are with Mom in Heaven. I remember how you always loved going to the park and in your memory, I will get you a memorial park bench in New Jersey. You are in our thoughts and prayers, Agnieszka, Mario, and Alan (grandson U.S. Marine) I want to thank my aunt from Poland, who just recently notified us that my father passed away two weeks ago.
