James E. Rakshys, born on January 31, 1948, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025. He lived a life marked by devotion to his family, faith, and profession.

James was the beloved husband of Theresa M. Rakshys, whom he married on June 1, 1968. Together they shared many years of love, partnership, and commitment.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margret Rakshys. He is survived by his loving children: his son, James Rakshys, and daughter-in-law Marci of Wake Forest, North Carolina; his daughter, Michelle Rakshys of Seattle, Washington; and his cherished grandson, Cameron, who brought him great joy.

James was an active member of his faith community and served on the Finance Committee at St. André Bessette, where his dedication and steady guidance were deeply valued.

Professionally, James enjoyed a successful career in finance and information technology, retiring as an Information Technologies Resource Market Director of Architecture and Planning. He was proud of his education, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration, credentials that reflected both his discipline and commitment to lifelong learning.

James will be remembered for his integrity, generosity, and quiet strength, as well as his unwavering love for his family and faith.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James’s memory to the National Centre for Padre Pio at padrepio.org.

Condolences

I worked in the same office with Jim at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. He made beautiful wooden vases, bowls one which he gave me for my parents (which I now have). He held himself to high standards in the hospital financial decisions. I'm sure he is missed. May he rest in peace. Linda Vozniak, Dallas, PA
