Ina Dolores White, 83, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025. She was born on October 5, 1942, in Hillburn, New York, to Wesley and Mary
Powell. Raised in a close-knit family, Ina developed the warmth, humor, and lively spirit that would define her throughout her life. She was educated in the Suffern, New York school system and proudly graduated from Suffern High School.

A true jack of all trades, Ina built a diverse career that included work in finance, clerical support, and childcare—roles that reflected her reliability, compassion, and strong work ethic. In 1975, she married the love of her life, Samuel White Sr., beginning a partnership filled with devotion, laughter, and unwavering support.

Ina later made her home in Wendell, North Carolina, where she became known as the life of every gathering—funny, vibrant, and always ready to bring joy to those around her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Samuel C. White Sr., her steadfast companion, through every season of life, her brother, Carmen Powell Sr. of
Garner, NC; her sons Monte (Kris) of Louisburg, NC, and Samuel C. White Jr. (Mycenia) of Wendell, NC; and daughter, Audrey Whidbee. Ina was a proud
grandmother to eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who cherished her deeply.

Ina was preceded in death by her son, Lance A. Fountain; her daughter, Yvette; and her siblings Richard Powell, Pansy Duncan, Wesley Powell, and Michael Powell.

Ina’s legacy is one of laughter, resilience, and boundless love. She will be remembered for her quick wit, her generous heart, and the way she made every person feel welcomed and valued. Her family and friends will carry her memory forward with deep affection and gratitude.
