David Demo
David Demo, 77 of Raleigh, N.C. died on January 24, 2026, at Transitions Hospice after a tiring five-year journey with dementia. He was a loving husband to his wife Pauline, a beloved brother to his sister Susan, and an amazing uncle to his nieces and nephews.
He was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to Adeline and Andrew Demo. He went to Johnstown High School where he was very active in his high school band. He attended The University of Pittsburgh and Lehigh University earning a civil engineering degree, a master's degree in engineering, and an MBA. He was a Professional Engineer, licensed in five states here in the U.S. His work experience has taken him around the world to work on construction projects such as stadiums, airports, malls, and mass transit systems in Buffalo, NY, Raleigh, NC, and Los Angeles, CA.
Pauline and Dave were married in 1978 and spent 47 wonderfully happy years together. He enjoyed traveling and had visited many different countries while pursuing his career and traveling with Pauline for pleasure during his retirement.
He also enjoyed playing golf with his "Holy Hackers" church group. He was an active member of the
Knights of Columbus for many years. His passions were oil and watercolor painting, putting together jig-saw puzzles, mastering many card games with neighbors, and traveling to visit family and friends all over the US and Europe.
He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate Pauline, his devoted sister Susan, brothers-in-law Joe and Bob, sister-in-law Dawn and many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews with whom he was very close.
