Carmen Vence Rivers, 87, of Johns Island, SC, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025.

Carmen was born December 24, 1937, in Havana, Cuba, to the late Jose Vence Garcia and Paz Iglesias Villaravid, both of Galicia, Spain. She was married to the late Henry F. Rivers of Johns Island, whose work in oil exploration took them around the world.

Carmen is survived by her children, Henry F. Rivers (Pam) of Chapel Hill, NC, Rebecca Rivers Bent (John)of Bronxville, NY, and Carolina Rivers Vence (Stuart Van Meter) of Hendersonville, NC; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Services will be private.
