It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bettie P. Cooley, 97, on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in Garner, NC. Bettie was born on January 19, 1928 in Clover, SC, to Melvin and Bertha Pendleton. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Rock Hill, SC. Bettie worked for the York County School district for 14 years, with most of her time spent as a teacher’s aide for Kindergarten at Rosewood Elementary School.

Bettie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved camping, square dancing and being a member of the Straw Hat Club at the YMCA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Bill, her parents Melvin and Bertha, her twin brother, Bobby, and her brother, Junior. She is survived by her son Scott (Traci) and her only grandchild, Travis.

Bettie’s faith and family were the foundation of her life. She exhibited Christ’s love to everyone she met.

Services for Bettie will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.at the Renaissance Funeral Home, 7615 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, NC.
