Allen Lee Fowler
Allen L. Fowler, 57, of Raleigh, NC, passed away on November 30, 2025, with his wife and son by his side.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Patti Fowler, and their children: Ryan & Kristin Simler, Randy & Ashlee Fowler, Samantha & Aaron Singer, Trevor & Emily Simler, and Taylor Baile. He was the proud grandfather of Jack, Karaline, Quinn, Brinlee, Ty, Eli, and grandbaby seven, Ainslee, expected in January. Allen is also survived by his brother, Guy Fowler, sister, Melissa Fowler, and his mother-in-law, Peggy Anderson.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Norlan and Lela Fowler, and by his father and stepmother, Randy and Barbara Fowler.
Immediately after high school, Allen joined the United States Marine Corps, serving six years of active duty. He lived his life guided by the values of the Corps, and while he was always incredibly proud to be a Marine, he was prouder that his three sons—Ryan, Randy, and Trevor—followed in his footsteps becoming United States Marines.
During his time in the service, he entered what evolved into his lifelong career in the avionic electronic and battery industries. That expertise led him into the emergency power industry, eventually joining Exide Electronics, now known as Eaton Corporation. He became Eaton’s very first Battery CSE and created and executed the business plan that built what is today a $55 million+ battery division. Allen dedicated more than 30 years to Eaton, pouring his passion, leadership and knowledge into everyone around him.
Allen also leaves behind his CE5 family, a team of 30 exceptional technicians whom he dearly loved. He often said he wasn’t their boss—he worked for them. Their loyalty to one another was unmatched, and Allen cherished every one of them.
His final days were filled with joy—celebrating Thanksgiving with family, enjoying a last-minute Dallas Cowboys win, and sharing precious moments with his granddaughter Brinlee, who happily sat with him, grinning and telling him she liked football. That simple joy filled his heart.
Services will take place Monday, Dec. 8, at Renaissance Funeral Home. Visitation begins at 1pm and the funeral with military honors begins at at 3pm.
A reception will follow services at Embassy Suites at Crabtree at 4700 Creedmoor Road.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation, an organization that reflects Allen’s lifelong love and respect for those who serve.

I am sincerely saddened by the news of Allen's passing. Allen was my manager when I first came to work at Eaton in Nov 2007. Allen was a great man, a great manager and a great mentor! I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Patti and her children. Allen was a very personable individual. I worked with him for many years at Eaton and he was always available if you needed his assistance with anything. I came to know Allen in 1996 when I worked for Yuasa/Exide (now EnerSys) by performing battery installation work for World Wide Services Group. Then in 1998 I came to work for Powerware where I worked more closely with Allen. Over the years Allen was not only my mentor, but we became good friends. He always had stories to tell reflecting on his experiences in the battery industry. His humor and animation in telling those stories combined with his in-depth knowledge was always entertaining and insightful. He will be forever remembered and missed by all that knew him. Sadly, he left big shoes that will never be able to be filled. Rest in peace by brother.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Allen in person, but had been in multiple calls and training. You never knew what story he would tell next, so it was always an adventure to talk to him! Allen had a caring helpful heart and he will be deeply missed; but God sure has his hands full now! ♥

Allen was one of one. If I called Allen to fly to Texas, he wouldn't ask why, he would ask when. You don't meet people like Allen. He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him. We can all honor Allen by pressing on and hoping each day will get a little easier to do so.

I hired Allen in 1995 for Exide Electronies in Tustin, CA. He was the most intense, hard charging, friend and employee I ever worked with. Never say die. No quit in him. A Marines Marine. Semper Fidelis Cpl Fowler...."And when he gets to heaven to St. Peter he will tell, another Marine reporting sir, I've served my time in hell!"
