Obituary For Kathy Stephenson

Kathy L. Stephenson, age 60, died peacefully Saturday, May 19, 2018, in Cleveland, TN.

Kathy was a generous woman who lived a life of Christian care and service towards others. She enjoyed cooking, watching Little House on the Prairie and television gameshows, and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters. She loved all things Christmas and was particularly fond of snowmen. Kathy will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her son Rev. Christopher A. Stephenson, Ph.D. and wife Rev. Lisa P. Stephenson, Ph.D.; granddaughters, Abigail and Bella; brother, David Saunders and wife Ellen; sister-in-law, Kimberly Barbour and husband John; brother-in-law, Gene Stephenson and wife Lee; and four nieces and one nephew.

Kathy’s remains will lie in repose from 10:00 AM until 12:00PM Friday at Renaissance Funeral Home, in Raleigh. Interment and a brief service will take place 10:00 AM Saturday at Historic Oakwood Cemetery, in Raleigh, with signs directing to the location of interment.

Special appreciation goes to Brookdale Cleveland, Brookdale Mount Vernon Drive, and Hospice of Chattanooga.

    I remember when I was younger coloring with her and watching Little House on the Prairie. She was such a funny and bright person. Without her I wouldn't be who I am today and wouldn't have my love for Zebra Cakes. She will forever be missed. -Madie S.
