Gheorghe Babii, age 80, of Raleigh died on December 6, 2017, lovingly surrounded by his family and friends.

Gheorghe was born in Ripiceni Vechi, Romania to the late Constantin and Eugenia Babii.

Gheorghe was an active member at the Church of the Living Lamb (Biserica Mielului Cel Viu). He was dedicated husband and father.

He is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife of 55 years Ana and family: Emanuel, Marius and Aritina, Samuel, Eleanor and Jessie, Teo and Emma, and one sister, Maria.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Renaissance Funeral Home in Raleigh, NC. A graveside service will be held the following day, December 12, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens.
