Tara Nicole Johnson
With heavy hearts, the family of Tara “Nikki” Johnson announces her transition from this world into eternal rest on June 13, 2026.
Born on September 3, 1987, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Tara touched the lives of many through her humor, kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for family. She was known for her warm spirit, infectious laughter, and selfless nature. She graduated from Southeast Raleigh High School and William Peace College. She enjoyed her new employment at MetLife for the four short weeks she was there.
Tara was passionate about supporting Black-owned small businesses, enjoyed cooking for those she loved, and most recently devoted much of her time and energy to caring for her mother. Her compassion and dedication to others will be remembered by all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her father Ronald “Tony” Johnson Sr(deceased); mother, Joyce D Johnson; her bonus mother, Stephanie Williams-Johnson; her brother, Ronald Johnson Jr; her sister-in-love, Desirae Johnson; her brother, Christopher Meyers (Florida); sister, Bianca Mallory (Florida); her nephews, Jharez Johnson and Josiah Johnson; her niece, Jewlee-Ann Johnson; as well as many dear friends, coworkers, and extended family.
The family sincerely appreciates your understanding, prayers, and support during this difficult time as they mourn the loss of a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt.

My condolences to her family and friends on the loss of a wonderful young lady. I had the pleasure of meeting her and seeing her briefly every day for many years at Duke Raleigh Hospital. We appreciated her smile, her service to our patients and her help. The Lord has gained another angel.
