It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bernadine Rose Born, who passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026 at the age of 94.

Bernadine was a loving mother, devoted family member, and cherished friend. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, compassion, and the love she shared with everyone who knew her. Her greatest joy in life was her family, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and treasured memories.

She is survived by her beloved son, James Born; her beloved daughter, Anita Born and her daughter-in-law,Tina Guyotte. She is also lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, Tina and her husband Anthony Chiodo, Teri and Greg Grantham, , their pets Samantha and Ciara, Gary and Tu Wade, Frank and Jos Wade-Neijenhuis, Bob Wade, Tim and Lisa Wade, Kevin and Amanda Wade, and extended family members, and friends of them were blessed by her presence and will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by husband Ralph Born, parents Frank and Josephine Rogers, brother Santo (Sandy) Rogers, sister Madeline (Mickey) Wade.

A Funeral Mass will be held on August 8 at 1 pm at St Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church 12333 Bayleaf Church Rd, Raleigh, NC 27614. Family and friends are invited to attend as they gather to celebrate her life and honor her memory.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that her love, wisdom, and gentle spirit will remain with us always. She will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
