Obituary For Sage Peacock

Sage Peacock, 40, died on Friday, November 10, from what is assumed to be injuries sustained from a car accident. His main passions in life were cars, his dogs and fixing anything mechanical.

Sage’s life adventures took him to college in Greenville, living on a sailboat in Newport Beach, California, enlisting in the Army where he won master marksmanship awards, then to run a marina in Wilmington, NC and finally back home to Raleigh as a master auto and marine mechanic. His wit and charming smile will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his daughter Sage Lynn Peacock (15) of Blacksburg, VA, his parents Michael and Marilyn Peacock of Raleigh and his two sisters, Priscilla Holcomb and Ivy Holt of Raleigh

I went to all 12 years of school with him. Ill always remember the bus sitting outside his house waiting for him every morning. He was such a funny guy. He will be missed.

Sage has been one of my very best friends for almost half of my life. We met the first week I was in Greenville at PCC. We had math class together. Instant connection with our Jeeps and music. He would pick me up in that CJ7 but never used the road ,he drove through a field, down a 8ft embankment and parked at my door. I could always hear him coming from a mile away. He was a groomsman in my wedding, and we were also roommates in Wilmington for quite a while. He was one of the first people to reach out and come see me when my sister passed last year. He loved her too and always checked in on her in Raleigh. I talked to him just the other day on the anniversary of her death. He just wanted to check on me and tell me that he loved me. I love Sage Peacock like a brother. We could always pick up right where we left off. My heart is broken right now and I'm sending love to all of his family and friends. He was certainly one of a kind and I will always miss him. I consider myself very lucky to have had him in my life. - Matt Thomas

I remember thinking he was the most handsome guy at your wedding! Very meek and unassuming. I don't think he knew how handsome he was and the power he had to draw a person in. Rest In Perfect Peacefulness. Praying for you and yours.

Just recently Sage worked with me at True Power Electric. He came to me asking for a job. I got him hired on and we worked together for maybe 4 months. In that short period we became friends as our past has so many similarities.I heard the terrible news at an auto shop where we met and have been hurting deeply ever since. I will always cherish my short friendship with Sage and I know the unbearable pain his family must bear to go on without him.I have a few items in my work tuck that belonged to him like a coffee cup and lunch bag that will remain there forever so I will always remember my friend and brother and he lives on by my side.

Still got a coffe cup that belonged to Sage. Drinking from it now. Used it Saturday morning at Kerr lake sitting on my porch in the middle of nowhere in the woods. Had the best cup of coffee ever. Miss ya bro

Sage worked for our company for a short time, but we all liked him immediately. He had a kind nature and felt like family while he was with us. He was one of those people that you could look into his eyes and see the sweetness of his soul regardless of what he may have been dealing with. Prayers to the family and especially his daughter and the older dog that he loves so very much. Greg, Jamie & Matt Lanier Auto Body
