Melanie was my first Friend at Allscripts, she took me under her wing and we went to whole food for lunch. She was so generous and kind. I am sure someone in heaven has taken her under their wing.

Jim - we are in shock as is everyone - Michael, Max, Harley, and I send our love to you - I have so many favorite memories of Melanie but I think the one that always stands out is how she showed us the city of Philadelphia and a fabulous Chinese restaurant that the kids still remember even today. We are thinking about you and send our thoughts and prayers.

Melanie had a special way of reaching out to people. I met her in St. John by the pool in her cobalt blue bathing suit. Each year we connected we talked on and on about St. John which led to many other conversations. She was smart, funny very healthy always taking her walks with Jim in the early morning. Since I traveled alone most of the time, she included me into their vacation. We shared meals, sometimes she just wanted to barbecue by the pool. Even though she was a vegan she wouldn't force it on you. I really miss her chats online and her excitement to return to St John this year. I can't believe I'm never going to see her again. Jim, I know exactly how you feel. I have walked in your shoes if you ever need to talk or share feelings please feel free to contact me You are in my thoughts. Paula Witten Boston

Melanie was my first Program Manager at Allscripts. And, she was super efficient, knowledgeable, and super positive. She recruited me as an investor for several team initiatives. And, was a regular Toykyo House buddy. My heart aches that her light will not be there for us. Praying for her husband and family.

I have nothing but great memories of Melanie. She befriended me in St John USVI because she never met a stranger!! She introduced her and Jim and we hit it right off. My husband Mike and I have spent 17 years vacationing with them. We have so many memories and they are all fun and funny!!! Mel kept us moving with different excursions , shopping , dinner , poolside fun and more!! She encouraged me to laugh and smile more. She was always positive, happy , sparkling , bubbly. I learn alot from her. How to be more forgiving , Smile more , be more positive and never give up on some of my health Conditions. She will be sorly missed. If fact I miss her now. Ill miss our late night IM messages also. I was so blessed to have known her. Happy trails my friend. God bless you and Jim

I had the pleasure of working with Melanie for over 15 years at Allscripts, as a Vision road warrior and in the Program Management Office. She was a selfless and tireless coworker and such a wonderful friend to many of us. When we would travel to attend a conference, Melanie often travelled ahead of the team to get the lay of the land. When the rest of us arrived, she would greet us and have all of the answers to make our arrivals easier. My heart and prayers are with Jim and family. In my sadness, I take comfort in thinking that perhaps, once again, Melanie has travelled ahead of us and will be waiting to greet us and make our arrivals easier.

Melanie was a beautiful woman and soul! She was kind, outgoing, and always helping people! So much love to you Melanie!

Loving and kind; joyful and optimistic; inspiring us to lead healthy lives. These are words I used to describe Melanie when I met her about 2 years ago. As I got to know her better, I learned how genuinely caring and nurturing she was. When we were together, she was always watching out for me: offering me healthy choices, making sure I was hydrated, and and even physically supporting me when I had foot problems. I will cherish the short time we had together, and will look back at our online conversations as a sweet memory. My heart goes out to Jim and all of Melanie's family!

Melanie was my co-worker last in 2007 and we have remained friends. She will forever be an inspiration as a person who was full of joy, positivity, and strength. She had warmth for all. In every single interaction we ever had, she gave a genuine compliment. She took such thoughtful care of herself and others as an inspiring fitness coach and vegan culinary artist. She was a giver and asked me regularly which autism charity she should donate to. I never saw her without a smile! I imagine her smiling at all of us now, saying, "Everything is going to be okay!" Melanie, thank you for crossing my path in this life! Becky Warberg

Jim, Harry and I are in shock. We are sending our love from the West Coast. We will be at Melanie's memorial in spirit, as we have 2 performances tomorrow night. Melanie never missed a show when Harry was in AC. So we will dedicate tomorrows shows to her. Melanie was the little sister I never had. I loved her, and she was family. She will always remain in my life and will never be forgotten. Hugs to you and your family and friends.-- Harry and Kitch

I have many cousins but Melanie was by far my favorite! I even named my daughter Melanie, after her! I lived with her when we were kids...she took me under her wing. She was kind, nurturing, and fun to be around. In our later years we talked a lot about staying and keeping healthy. She was also my beach body coach and a great motivator! I could count on an email or text every week to make sure I was doing my workouts and had the right flavor shakeology. She cared about everyone, was understanding, and thoughtful. She will always hold a special place in my heart! Cousins forever!!! :hearts:

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Melanie was so great to work w/ and we had so much fun down in the trenches... I'll really miss how friendly she was and how she could take all the nonsense at work and keep us moving forward. I learned so much from her and will greatly miss her. Keeping you in my thoughts & prayers. Justin Howe Glen Allen, VA
